As President of The Speech Improvement Company, Ethan is a second-generation speech coach and trainer. While he’s worked with business partners all over the United States, he also has unique international experience. He has developed powerful, customized motivational training programs on communication and delivered them worldwide. Ethan’s experiences have provided him with a valuable cultural perspective that he brings to his clients.

Ethan comes from a long line of educators. His great-grandfather and both of his parents were both influential in the field of education. And, he became President of The Speech Improvement Company in 2006 to carry the family business into the next generation.
While he’s worked with business partners all over the United States, he also has unique international experiences. Ethan lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he immersed himself in the Asian culture, conducting research, training. In addition, he coached and presented in countries such as Ireland, Germany, England, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Korea.
Ethan employs a patient and precise one-on-one coaching style, which compliments his motivational group training technique. He brings unique expertise to many topics, including executive communication, leadership and management communication, presentation skills, motivational speaking, persuasion, negotiation, dealing with conflict, and more.
Ethan did not go directly into the family business after graduation. He spent six years working in a high-tech organization, Media 100 Inc., which grew from $3 million in revenue to $80 million per year and from 30 to 300 employees during his time.
In addition to being raised in the family business, Ethan’s education consists of 4 degrees related to communication. He holds a doctorate in psychology from the Harold Able School of social behavior and sciences at Capella University, with a focus on industry and organizations. A second doctorate in humane letters from Fitchburg State University, an MBA from the school of business and technology at Capella University, with a dual focus on International Business Communication and Leadership, and a BS in mass communication.
