Executive Summary

The ability to present in a clear, comfortable, and concise manner is a critical skill for all members of the BSC Hola group.  Presenting ideas to people from another culture can be uniquely challenging or frustrating.  Data-heavy, scientific, or technical information can make it difficult at times to also remain engaging.  Cultural differences can make it hard to be influential or persuasive. This four-week training  program will teach participants best practices in human communication and presentation and allow for practice and asking of questions to master their own presentation and communication skill level.  Participants will learn how to present with confidence and clarity in any setting and across cultural divides.

This learning opportunity will be conducted over four half day sessions (3 hours each).  Each session will encompass both learning and practice. Participants will bring a myriad of learning styles to the workshop.  To ensure maximum learning, the instructor working with the group will use a mixture of teaching / presenting methods, including demonstration, discussion, small and full group exercises, constant feedback, coaching and support print materials.
