Meeting Facilitation

We teach teams to run better meetings. We also facilitate them for you.

Training

Learn to facilitate

We teach individuals and teams how to run meetings that stay focused, keep time, and end with a decision. Workshop and private coaching. Practice in the room, not a lecture about meetings.

This is not us running the meeting for you. Your people leave able to do it.

How the training works

Facilitation service

Bring us in to facilitate

Teams bring us in to run the meeting. We keep it focused, on schedule, and aimed at output. You stay in the content. We run the process.

This is not a class. It is a working session with a professional facilitator in the chair.

How we facilitate

Meetings are where decisions are supposed to happen. Too often they become updates, unfinished arguments, and another invite for next week. That is a communication problem. Since 1964 we have been in those rooms — teaching people to run them, and running them when the stakes are too high to practice.

Problems we solve

  • Meetings that run long and still miss the decision
  • A few voices dominate; useful ones stay quiet
  • Cross-functional rooms that talk past each other
  • Leaders who cannot both advocate and chair
  • Strategy sessions that produce notes, not next steps
  • Offsites that lose the plot by lunch

How the training works

The workshop is called meeting facilitation. We train people to more effectively run and facilitate meetings — in person or virtual. Individuals and intact teams both train with us.

  • Name the real meetingWe work from your actual meetings, not generic icebreakers. Staff meeting, operating review, project room, offsite.
  • Build the skillFocus, airtime, disagreement, decision, time. How to chair without steamrolling, and how to participate without taking over.
  • Practice with feedbackLive practice with a coach who tells you what worked, what drifted, and what to do in the next five minutes.
  • Take it back to workYour next real meeting is the exam. We help you apply it, then tighten what still slips.

How we facilitate

When a meeting is too important to use as practice, bring us in. Clients tell us this adds high value because we keep the room focused, on time, and producing the best output from the people who are there.

  • Prepare the roomPurpose, desired output, who must be there, and what must be decided. We design the session so the clock has a job.
  • Run the meetingWe hold the process. We keep discussion on the point, surface the real disagreement, and protect the schedule.
  • Get the outputDecisions, owners, and next steps — not a stack of parking-lot notes. You leave with the work product, not just the experience of having met.
  • Hand it backThe meeting is yours again. If the team also wants the skill, that is a separate training engagement. We will say so clearly.

Who this is for

  • Managers and new leadersPeople who inherited meetings they did not design, and now own the room.
  • Leadership and operating teamsA shared standard for how your company runs reviews, planning, and decision meetings.
  • Technical, scientific, and specialist leadersComplex content, mixed audiences, and a need to get to a decision without dumbing the work down.
  • Teams with a high-stakes session on the calendarOffsite, strategy day, cross-functional working session — when the leader needs to participate, not chair.

What progress looks like

  • Shorter, cleaner meetingsThe room knows what it is there to decide, and notices when it leaves the point.
  • Better use of the people in the roomUseful voices get in. Dominant voices do not run the clock.
  • Decisions that survive the hallwayOutput is named, owned, and specific enough to act on Monday.
  • Leaders who can choose a roleChair, advocate, or expert — not all three at once unless that is the design.

Who works with you

This matters. Facilitation is communication work. Our coaches are full-time speech and communication professionals, trained in adult learning, and used to rooms where the content is complex and the politics are real. We are not a meeting-app company, and we are not a generic offsite vendor.

They train and work together continuously: reviewing what actually helps a room decide, and refining the work. That is how you get facilitators who keep time without killing the conversation, and instructors who teach the skill without turning it into a game.
