JENNIFER JEROME

At The Speech Improvement Company, Jennifer works with senior executives who want to sharpen their presence in the boardroom and in every high-stakes conversation for both in-person and remote settings. With more than three decades of experience as a speech educator, coach, and leader, she has devoted her career to helping people communicate with clarity, authority, and authenticity. 

Jennifer has taught public speaking at the university level, designed communication curricula for thousands of students, and coached leaders one-on-one to prepare for pivotal presentations, media appearances, and major change initiatives. Her expertise lies in helping high-level professionals think on their feet, handle difficult questions, and project confidence in moments of pressure. 

Jennifer’s hard-won reputation as a coach and leader is reflected in national recognition of her work. She is a member of the National Speech & Debate Association Coaches Hall of Fame and was named Nebraska Coach of the Year in 2018. She has served on the NSDA’s national Board of Directors, where she chaired committees on governance, rules, and professional conduct, and has been a trusted adjudicator at competitions throughout the USA. Her leadership in the field has set standards for communication excellence across the country. 

Jennifer has been a featured presenter at national and regional conferences, leading workshops on ethical judging, inclusive communication, and the future of organizational speech practices. She has also pioneered inclusive competition formats that are now recognized at the state level, expanding opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. 

Jennifer holds master’s degrees in Leadership (Bellevue University) and Communication (University of Nebraska at Omaha), and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. This academic foundation, combined with decades of practical coaching, makes her a highly sought-after coach for executives looking to elevate their influence.
