Distance Coaching

No matter where you live, here is an opportunity to learn, practice and get live feedback and coaching from an experienced speech coach located in the Boston offices of The Speech Improvement Company. You choose the topic, and via phone and e-mail, your coach will listen, critique, and guide you to more powerful and effective speaking skills.

Each topic program consists of six one-hour coaching sessions conducted over the phone and supported by print materials. Coaching sessions are scheduled during normal business hours (EST) and arranged at your convenience. We are pleased to be able to offer these unique topics in a convenient CD format for the first time to our special Apple friends. Dr. Dennis Becker, America’s #1 speech coach is featured as both host and instructor in this dynamic collection. Learn how to identify them and, most importantly, how to prepare and to speak to these very different patterns of reasoning. Learn our four-step outline for organizing your thoughts and presenting them to others. This outline can be used in almost any speaking situation. This CD also contains very useful information about the use of visuals in a presentation. Learn the three most important guidelines for ensuring that your visuals are a help and not a hindrance to your presentation.

CD #3 Using Visuals
This CD addresses one of the most awkward aspects of any presentation. Learn the three most important guidelines for using visuals of any kind. You will also be introduced to the most exciting tool for preparing and presentation of visuals since the invention of the teleprompter.

CD #4 Controlling Nervousness
This CD will help you understand and control this most bothersome experience. Learn the four major causes of nervousness. In addition, learn specific techniques for overcoming and controlling this debilitating experience.

CD #5 Strengthening Persuasive Skills
This CD will introduce you to the only three ways to "convince anybody to do anything." That may sound strong, but it's true. Learn what they are and how they effect both your speaking style and the overall impression that you make on your listeners. This CD also contains valuable information on how relationships are established and maintained. Learn the results of a nationwide survey identifying the two most important elements required to build a good relationship.
