Laverne has more than 20 years of experience in a wide range of corporate training settings. Her areas of expertise include human communication, team building, organizational development, conflict-resolution and performance management.
Laverne also serves as a facilitator, professional speaker and mentor. Her client list is expansive and includes many Fortune 100 companies such as CONAGRA FOODS, SWIFT & COMPANY, EMC CORP, and CARGILL. She has also served as an officer in start-up companies such as SAVAJE TECHNOLOGIES and APPLESEED NETWORKS. She has served on The Board of Directors of TENCO INDUSTRIES, JOB SERVICE EMPLOYEE COMMITTEES and ROTARY CLUB. Laverne is also past President of SOUTHEAST IOWA PERSONNEL ASSOCIATION.
Amongst her professional accomplishments, Laverne has designed, developed, negotiated and implemented HR Plans. Her negotiation and communication skills have led to nearly $3 Million dollars of savings for her clients.
Laverne received her undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management from THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT ST. LOUIS and has continued her studies there in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is a member of several professional business associations on both the local and national level, i.e., THE SOCIETY FOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT and THE SENIOR EXECUTIVE NETWORKING GROUP.
